Kalpetta is a small town in the south west of Wayanad district and also head quarters of the district, surrounded by dense coffee plantations and mountains. There was stronghold of Jain’s long back on this town. Ananthanatha Swami Temple is an ancient Jain temple located in this town.
In Kalpetta, there are lots of other places nearer to this town and are easily reachable, like 300-year-old mosque - Varambetta Mosque (15 kms), Glass Temple, dedicated to the Jain Paraswanatha swami (20 kms), Pallikunnu Church, (5 Kms), and Puliyar Mala Jain Temple, devoted to the Jain saint, Anantha Natha Swami (5 Kms).
