This is the main population center of South Goa and capital of Salcete province and the busiest town in the state. Traffic, fumes, noise in the town makes Panaji look positively comatose.
Long-term visitors will want to visit Margoa for its market. There is a covered market in the heart of city, which is one of the best in Goa.
