Vishakhapatnam is the Hub for Industries, IT and Tourism. Vishakhapatnam has witnessed the reigns of various kingdoms like Asoka, Pallavas, Cholas and Gangas.
The 25 km long stretch Bhimili - Vishakhapatnam coastal road is really the picturesque beaches, all along the direct access to the sea with breathtaking beauty of blue waters caressing the golden sands at different points along the length of the coast, thrilling the fun-loving for tourists and holiday makers. Tourists can also make a visit to the million years old "Borra Caves" and "Araku" the only hill station of Andhra Pradesh and Similiguda the highest broad gauge railway station in India. Even the Eastern Ghats offer excellent places for trekking, bird watching, camping and adventure in the wilds.
Vishakhapatnam is also having a small airport. There are daily flights from Mumbai and Hyderabad. Airlines like Air Sahara and Air Deccan operating there along with the state-owned Indian Airlines.
