Fashion is a term that usually applies to a prevailing mode of expression, but quite often applies to a personal mode of expression that may or may not apply to all. Inherent in the term is the idea that the mode will change more quickly than the culture as a whole. The terms "fashionable" and "unfashionable" are employed to describe whether someone or something fits in with the current popular mode of expression. The term "fashion" is frequently used in a positive sense, as a synonym for glamour and beauty and style. In this sense, fashions are a sort of communal art, through which a culture examines its notions of beauty and goodness. The term "fashion" is also sometimes used in a negative sense, as a synonym for fads, trends, and materialism. Current global fashion centres are London, Milan, Paris and New York, but other cities like Rome and Tokyo are also becoming well known.

On Girlsense.com tween trendsetters are polling their peers on any subject imaginable and are revealing precisely what interests them. In addition to designing and displaying their own teen fashion creations, tweens can use the site as a forum to quiz their peers on topics ranging from "What`s your favorite outfit?" to "What age would you start dating?" The polls on GirlSense are a great gauge of what tweens are talking about, what concerns and interests them and how they feel about a wide range of topics. - 2007-05-08.

Who doesn`t love Chip and Pepper Foster, those dynamic twins from The Style Network`s hit show, `The Look for less`?

We don`t know the answer to that question, but with the recent launch of C7P, their new line for JC Penney, we thought this would be the perfect time to get to know them a little bit better!.

Fool Mother Nature!

So I`ve spent the past two days sick in bed, using my down time to catch up on important things like sleep and makeover shows. I love "What Not to Wear" (Stacy London`s coming out with her own talk show on TLC later in late November) but there`s also a new (to me anyway) show on TLC called "10 Years Younger" that is addictive. It takes a woman and puts her in a clear box where people guess her age. Then she gets a makeover and the results are amazing. Fashion plays a big part of it -- alongside dermabrasion, cosmetic dentistry, even acupuncture -- and it`s a great reminder how dressing more youthful can change a woman`s appearance.

I still don`t have a menu planned out, but I have a pretty good idea of what I`ll wear this Thanks giving when I serve dinner to the family. As adorable as all of the fancy sleeves are right now, I can`t think of anything more disgusting than lantern sleeves dipping into the gravy or kimono sleeves slipping into the stuffing. So I`m opting for something short sleeved and belted with a bit of shine.
